Talking Shop with Theresa and Bri: Big Planets + Big Business -Saturn Pluto Conjunction - and what it means for business in 2020.
This year, we’re doing something completely different: we’ll be focusing on using astrology for your business. Why? It’s because we both follow the stars closely and have learned that when we do, our timing seems to better. Knowing how to navigate the cosmos can help you align your goals with the best energy for success - and avoid drama.
2020 started off with an astrological bang. Saturn and Pluto were conjunct on January 12th, something that only occurs every thirty-four years. This rare aspect is in Capricorn, astrology’s CEO sign.
So what does that mean for entrepreneurs?
How might you lean into this energy - or should you err on the side of ultra-caution?
What the heck is a conjunction anyways?
Relax - we’ve got you!
In the latest Talking Shop, we’re talking about 2020’s Saturn Pluto conjunction and how to rock it!

Some people are born writers. Others become excellent through school. But for most authors, writing is a skill that is developed over time, even if the natural ability is present.
Classes, mentors, and writing retreats are different ways to hone your writerly ambitions. But there are other ways as well.
We’ve spent this entire year of Talking Shop focusing on subjects that might be of interest to budding or established authors. Our goal: to help our fellow mystical peeps who want to enter the publishing world.
In the latest Talking Shop, Theresa and Bri discuss the various ways they’ve grown as writers - before and after their books came out.

Talking Shop with Theresa and Bri: So Your Book or Deck Got a Bad Reveiw
Friday Oct 18, 2019
Friday Oct 18, 2019
You’ve released your book or tarot deck into the world and now you wait for the 5-star reviews to come pouring in. You know your work is great - and hope others think so too.
But what do you do when someone leaves a less-than-flattering review? What happens when a nasty one-star critique shows up - and gets a lot of “helpful” votes or likes? Can this sink your book - or can it survive?
While no one likes to get hammered, it’s not the end of the world for you, your creative works, or your business. In fact, even famous authors such as JK Rowling receive blistering criticism too. It doesn’t stop them. And it shouldn’t stop you either.
When you’re putting your work out into the world, a thick skin (and a bit of ritual) can help you let the negative stuff roll off your back so you can keep on creating. Even if you’re made of the sensitive stuff (most creatives are), you can learn how to deal with this not-so-fun part of publishing like a total pro - and without losing too much sleep.
Our mission this year is to give you the information you need to get your book out of your head and into the world. From writing habits to collaboration, to marketing, we’ve got you covered.
In the latest Talking Shop, we’re talking about nasty reviews, haters, and how to keep your cool, even when your work is getting viciously attacked.

There is nothing better than seeing your book on the shelves of your favorite retailer. It’s a huge accomplishment.
You might be tempted to kick back and wait for the royalty checks to come streaming in. For some authors, that may be the reality. But for most of us, the book merely opens doors. We still have to max it out beyond the bookshelf.
One of the ways to do that is by creating a workshop based on the book. Workshops can be lucrative - and offer a way for your audience to connect more deeply with your work…and you.
We’ve both created workshops from our books - and they’ve been rewarding on so many levels. Now we’re giving you the skinny on how you can do this too.
